Tornadoes swept through several midwestern cities Friday leaving destruction and devastation in their wakes as a massive system tore through the area.

Friday's storms came after a week of unrelenting severe weather statewide, including at least six other confirmed tornadoes between April 13 and 15.

A tornado watch remains in effect for northwest Indiana as the threat of tornadoes from two rounds of severe storms is winding down for the Chicago area on Friday evening.

Most of Wisconsin is now under a tornado watch until 8 p.m. Friday, April 17, ahead of expected thunderstorms.
